The Story
Obsession, refined.
Black Badge Automotive was founded by a lifelong car enthusiast who grew tired of seeing extraordinary machines photographed like used appliances. The gap between what a car looks like in person and what it looks like in a listing photo is where we live.
We bring an editorial sensibility to every shoot — the same approach you'd find in a Robb Report feature or a concours catalog — applied to Turo fleets, BAT listings, private collections, and everything in between.
Based in the United States and available for travel, we work with collectors, brokers, dealers, and platform hosts who understand that the photograph is the first impression — and often the only one that matters.
Philosophy
The car is the subject.
We don't impose a style on the car — we find the angle, the light, and the moment that reveals what makes it exceptional.
Details are the story.
The patina on a 1967 Mustang. The stitching on a Bentley's leather. The way a headlight catches the last hour of sun. These are the images that stay with people.
Restraint is a skill.
Not every shot needs a dramatic sky or a smoke machine. Sometimes the most powerful image is the simplest one — clean, precise, and honest.
The Kit

Every shot is captured on Canon and edited on a Mac — no exceptions. There are no lighting kits, no strobes, no drones. Every image is shot entirely in natural light, the way the car actually looks in the world. What you see is what was there.
